Respiratory Therapist (RRT, CRT, or RCP)
Position Details
Status: PRN (as needed)
Shift: Day shift only; 8 - 12 hour shifts; must be available to work weekends. This position will NOT be required to take call.
Requirements: Current Illinois License for Respiratory Care Practitioner. Successful completion of a 2 year AMA approved program or equivalent. ACLS and BLS preferred. Ideal candidate would have weekday availability.
Position Purpose: Evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Consult with physicians and other healthcare staff on effectiveness of therapy. Provides direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician orders. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our REACH Values and Mission statement. Responsibilities would also include performing duties such as PFT’s, stress testing, HST (home sleep studies), invasive and non-invasive ventilation support, holters and cardiac event monitoring, as well as duties as assigned in our cardiopulmonary rehab program. Specialty Clinic duties as required.
