Cancer Care & Infusion Clinic at Pinckneyville Community Hospital is an outpatient clinic that provides comprehensive medical care to people with cancer and blood disorders. Patients needing infusions and injections for non-cancer-related conditions are also treated in the Cancer Care & Infusion Clinic.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) encompasses a group of lung diseases, most commonly emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Emphysema damages the air sacs and causes the lungs to be hyperinflated, while chronic bronchitis causes plugging and narrowing of the airways.

The Emergency Department at Pinckneyville Community Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by physicians contracted through Envision. The highly trained, registered nurses who work in the Emergency Department receive additional courses in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nurse Training. The ancillary support services at Pinckneyville Community Hospital are ready to act in emergency. Technicians in both our Laboratory and Imaging Department's are staffed around the clock in the case of emergencies.

A Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist is a Family Nurse Practitioner, whose practice is dedicated exclusively to providing care to patients while they are in the hospital. This means that the hospitalist can focus all of his or her attention on the patients who are hospitalized and be more readily available to these patients than a doctor who spends much of their time in an office setting.
Our Imaging Department is a full-service imaging center. With our equipment and trained staff, we are capable of doing almost all imaging needs. We offer General Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasounds and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Clayton Sleep Institute has the experience and the expertise to address your sleep health issues with the utmost care. A sleep study at Pinckneyville Community Hospital may be performed to diagnose and treat all sleep disorders. In addition to in-clinic testing, CSI is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine to perform Home Sleep Tests to screen for obstructive sleep apnea.

The Swing Bed (Transitional Care) Program at Pinckneyville Community Hospital is a program that allows patients to transition from acute medical care to home. This means when the patient’s condition no longer requires hospitalization, but he or she still needs rehabilitation or skilled nursing, the patient can stay at Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Transitional Care allows patients return to Pinckneyville more quickly, while still receiving the appropriate level of care until they return to their home.

Our variety of services include aquatic therapy, manual therapy, modalities, traction, hand therapy, pediatric therapy, work rehab, and FCE, speech, language, and cognition therapy. With our friendly, highly qualified staff and our fantastic facilities, we are able to help each patient achieve their full functional potential.
