One of the participants in this program is Miranda Shain, a member of the hospital’s Information Technology team. Miranda is currently working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Through her studies, she is developing advanced skills in areas such as network security, systems analysis, and protection of sensitive data.

The report demonstrates that the hospital contributes nearly $97.6 million in total economic impact, underscoring its essential role in supporting jobs, local businesses, and the overall economic vitality of the community.
Pinckneyville Community Hospital (PCH) was recognized by Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) with its esteemed Traveling STEMI Trophy, honoring exceptional performance in emergency cardiac care. This award highlights the critical importance of rapid evaluation, treatment, and transport for patients experiencing a ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI)—a severe and life-threatening type of heart attack where every minute can mean the difference between life and death.
