Pinckneyville Community Hospital is delighted to welcome Dr. Alexander (Alex) Workman, D.O. to the Family Medical Center as a primary care physician.

Dr. Workman’s educational journey reflects his commitment to excellence. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and subsequently obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. His passion for family medicine led him to complete a residency at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System in Brighton, Michigan.

As a family physician, Dr. Workman provides comprehensive care to people of all ages. Dr. Workman conducts routine checkups, including well-baby and child visits, performs health risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests. Personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle is also part of their preventive care approach. Additionally, Dr. Workman treats and monitors various chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension), kidney disease, heart disease, high cholesterol, arthritis, skin problems, and breathing issues (like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).  Dr. Workman’s versatility and holistic approach make him an essential member of the healthcare team!
