Pinckneyville Community Hospital Announces New Certified Nutrition Coach, Veronica Tripp

September 17, 2024 - Pinckneyville, IL Pinckneyville Community Hospital (PCH) is proud to announce that Veronica Tripp, a certified Personal Trainer at the PCH Wellness Center, has recently expanded her expertise by earning a certification in Nutrition Coaching. This additional certification will allow Veronica to provide even more comprehensive support to clients seeking to improve their health and wellness.

A certified Nutrition Coach offers personalized dietary guidance, combining nutrition education with behavioral change strategies to help clients achieve their health and fitness goals. Nutrition Coaches work closely with clients to create individualized plans that promote sustainable lifestyle changes. If a client's needs exceed the scope of a coach's expertise, such as in cases requiring medical nutritional therapy, a referral to a registered dietitian or licensed healthcare professional will be made.

In today's healthcare landscape, where preventive health is becoming a central focus, Nutrition Coaches play a key role in helping individuals stay healthy and avoid chronic illnesses. By offering affordable wellness services, including personal training and nutrition support, hospital wellness centers like PCH are meeting the growing demand for holistic, preventive care.

Veronica Tripp is thrilled to bring her new skills to the PCH Wellness Center. “Helping clients meet their personal goals is my passion, and this nutrition certification allows me to offer even more tools to guide them on their wellness journey,” said Tripp. “At PCH, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where clients of all ages and abilities can feel empowered to achieve their health and fitness goals.”

Veronica's coaching style focuses on accountability, motivation, and positive behavioral reinforcement. Her clients receive regular guidance and encouragement, which helps them stay on track, celebrate milestones, and make lasting changes to their eating habits and overall wellness.

Veronica is now offering both individual and group Nutrition Coaching sessions. Group sessions can be scheduled through the PCH Wellness Center's online booking platform at www.picktime.com/PCHWellnessCenter. Group sessions, which will focus on meal prep, recipes, and fostering community support, will begin on October 5 and continue on the first Saturday of each month.
