Position Details
Position: Gift Shop Coordinator
Department: Administration
Shift: Monday – Friday, flexible hours totaling 20 hours per week
*Gift Shop is open Monday – Friday from 9am – 3pm
Status: Part-time, Days, Hourly
Position Purpose: This position will be responsible for purchasing all inventory for the hospital gift shop, seeking out new vendors, pricing all inventory, and creating appealing displays for the gift shop storefront. Will work with auxiliary members and Marketing Director while completing gift shop duties. Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Certification/Licensure: N/A
Prior Experience: Prior retail experience required including the operation of a computer/cash register terminal.
Proficiencies: Computer skills in a Windows environment; experience working with Microsoft Office 365.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent written, verbal skills and critical thinking skills. Excellent customer service skills. Dependable. Independent initiative to take on responsibilities and challenges, requiring little or no supervision. Attention to detail and accuracy, including timely completion of tasks within established deadlines. Adaptable and flexible to change.
Knowledge: Understand basic retail principles including maintaining appropriate inventory levels, the importance of restocking and familiarity of what the customer wants.
Other: Ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing or pulling.
Wage Rate Range: $18.00 - $24.50/HR, based on experience
