PINCKNEYVILLE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL WELCOMES KUHNERT

3/18/22 – PINCKNEYVILLE, IL – Pinckneyville Community Hospital (PCH) is pleased to announce that Chelsea Kuhnert, MSN, FNP-C has joined its medical staff and will care for patients as a Nurse Practitioner hospitalists.

“The purpose of the Hospitalist Program is to provide patients with increased access to their medical provider during their hospitalization,” states Randall Dauby, CEO.  Dauby went on to say, “What makes the Pinckneyville Community Hospital stand out above other hospitals is that our Family Medical Center physicians, Dr. Fozard, Dr. Reyes, Dr. Forbes & Dr. Haque, are not only able to see you in their clinic but they will also make inpatient round with you if you are admitted to the hospital.  So having your clinic physicians make inpatient rounds, along with the Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist, gives the patient the best overall care while they are in the hospital.  Chelsea Kuhnert, FNP-C, is a wonderful addition to the hospital staff.  Chelsea and Leah Hopp, FNP-C are available  throughout the day to monitor the patients progress and overall care seven (7) days per week.”  

Kuhnert will work closely with each patient’s primary care physician to coordinate care with nursing, therapy, pharmacy, respiratory, laboratory, social services, case management and transitional care.

Kuhnert received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Kuhnert graduated from PCHS and worked for Pinckneyville Community Hospital as a CNA, LPN, and an RN. She resides in Pinckneyville with her husband, Dustin and their children-Braxton, Dempsay, and Willa.
