The Auxiliary at Pinckneyville Community Hospital welcomes community members and employees to assist with fundraising endeavors and community outreach events.
The goal of Pinckneyville Community Hospital's volunteer program is to engage the community in supporting the mission of 'Leading the way to a healthier tomorrow.'
Our auxiliary members love to make a difference in our patients' experience and for the staff they work with. The dedication of volunteers plays an important role in Pinckneyville Community Hospital's success and in the lives of patients and their families. We invite you to join our Auxiliary team and begin making a difference!
Gift Shop
Hospital Gift Shops are known for selling unique gifts that are not found everywhere. Join the Gift Shop team, no retail experience is required. We will teach you what you need to know, and your creative thinking will be welcomed. A portion of the sales is passed on to help the hospital purchase unbudgeted but necessary items for the hospital.
Information Desk
A pleasant smile and a warm greeting can make all the difference, putting one at ease on what could be a difficult day. Working at the Information Desk also means giving directions, escorting someone to their destination or assisting with a wheelchair when needed. As the “Heart of the Auxiliary”, these volunteers do what they can to assist the hospital serve their patients.
Shuttle Service
Like NASCAR, this involves driving in circles, only slower and with a lot of pit stops. You will encounter patients and visitors who may need or want a ride for a multitude of reasons. Whether it’s pain, using a cane or toddlers in the rain...you can make a difference. The shuttle drivers are always appreciated.
