Pinckneyville Community Hospital Recognizes Auxiliary for 10 Years of Service and Celebrates Latest Donation
Pinckneyville Community Hospital proudly announces the adoption of a Resolution to formally recognize the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Auxiliary for ten (10) years of dedicated volunteer service and unwavering support to the hospital and community. The resolution, approved June 1, 2026, by the Hospital District Board of Directors, commends Auxiliary members—past and present—for their outstanding commitment to service and their lasting impact on healthcare delivery in the community. In honor of that recognition, Hospital staff surprised the Auxiliary with a celebration of their commitment and service.
For the past decade, Auxiliary members have generously contributed their time, talents, and compassion to enhance the experience of patients, families, and staff. Their efforts have included assisting visitors, transporting patients, operating the hospital gift shop, and serving as greeters—creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all who enter the facility.
In addition to their volunteer service, the Auxiliary has made a profound financial impact, contributing approximately $102,000 over the past ten years. These funds have supported the purchase of essential equipment and patient-centered items, including golf carts, mobility scooters, a vein finder, wheelchairs, children’s books for pediatric patients, and memorial angels for patient families. Their latest donation of new Staxi transport chairs continues this tradition of giving.
The Staxi chairs are now available at the front entrance of both Pinckneyville Community Hospital and the Family Medical Center clinic for use by patients and visitors as needed and are especially helpful for assisting patients in and out of vehicles when arriving at or departing from the facility. “We are incredibly grateful to the Hospital Auxiliary for their ongoing support,” said Randall W. Dauby, CEO. “Their generosity allows us to continue investing in equipment and resources that improve the patient experience and make our facilities more accessible for everyone.”
