PCH Nurses Complete Emergency Care Skills Through TNCC Certification
A group of Pinckneyville Community Hospital nurses recently achieved a significant milestone in their professional development by completing the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). This program equips nurses with the essential knowledge and skills to provide exceptional care to patients suffering from traumatic injuries, often in fast-paced and high-stress environments.
Designed and administered by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), the TNCC is a nationally recognized course that emphasizes hands-on learning, including the assessment and management of trauma patients, teamwork during critical care scenarios, and the latest evidence-based practices.
Pinckneyville Community Hospital nurse, Phillip Catt, shared his thoughts on the experience: “The TNCC course challenged me to think critically and act quickly during simulated trauma scenarios. It has increased my confidence and ability to care for patients in emergencies.”
The Pinckneyville Community Hospital congratulates these nurses on their achievement and looks forward to seeing the positive impact their training will have on the lives of patients and families in the area.
