Family Medical Center Welcomes New Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner

Pinckneyville Community Hospital is proud to announce the addition of Jeanne Holdren, a highly accomplished Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to its healthcare team. With deep roots in mental health advocacy, clinical excellence, and nursing education, our newest provider brings a wealth of experience and compassion to our growing Behavioral Health Services program.

Holdren earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). Her academic and clinical background reflects a strong commitment to mental wellness across the lifespan of her patients.

A Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in addressing the mental health needs of the community. Holdren is able to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of behavioral and emotional disorders, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use. While she does not provide therapy directly, she coordinates care with a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to ensure patients receive the counseling and support they need. She also prescribes medications when appropriate and works closely with primary care providers to support a holistic approach to patient care. In rural settings where access to mental health services can be limited, a Behavioral Health NP helps bridge critical gaps and ensures individuals and families receive timely, compassionate, and comprehensive support close to home.

Holdren is now accepting patients at the Family Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Clinic. To schedule an appointment or learn more about services, please call 618-357-2131.
