Pinckneyville Community Hospital Welcomes Seifried as New Lab Manager
Pinckneyville Community Hospital is pleased to announce Tanya Seifried, as its new Laboratory Manager. With nine years of experience in laboratory sciences and a strong academic and professional background, Seifried brings valuable expertise and leadership to the role.
Seifried holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Ecology, Environment, and Evolution from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), along with minors in Music Performance and Environmental Science. Her academic work includes research on the ecological relationship between native and invasive woody understory plants, with a focus on farmland sustainability.
Seifried began her career in laboratory support and quality control for pharmaceutical and raw material manufacturing companies through Lab On-Assignment in St. Louis, MO, before formally entering the lab sciences field in 2016. She is a Medical Laboratory Scientist certified through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) and currently serves as a generalist while pursuing international and administrative certifications.
Now in her second year of management, Seifried is committed to continuous growth and plans to pursue graduate studies at SIUE. As the Lab Manager, Seifried will oversee the daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient testing to support patient care.
