PCH Physical Therapist Ethan DuClos Earns Prestigious Board Certification in Orthopedic Care

Ethan DuClos, PT, DPT, of Pinckneyville Community Hospital, has been awarded the professional designation of Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Ethan has been a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy at Pinckneyville Community Hospital since 2021. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Maryville University of St. Louis in 2020. Since then, he has accumulated over 2,000 hours of advanced clinical practice in orthopedic and musculoskeletal care for patients of all ages throughout Southern Illinois.

As a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy, Ethan specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic surgical cases and a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Ethan's experience and specialization includes the temporomandibular joint, spine care, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, as well as foot and ankle.

To achieve board certification, Ethan completed a rigorous examination and demonstrated specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency in orthopedic physical therapy. This distinction is earned by only a small percentage of physical therapists nationwide, underscoring the significance of his accomplishment.
