Pinckneyville Community Hospital Expands Imaging Services with Addition of Ultrasound Machine
Pinckneyville, IL — Pinckneyville Community Hospital (PCH) is pleased to announce the addition of a new state-of-the-art ultrasound machine in its Imaging Department, further enhancing access to diagnostic services for patients throughout the community.
The hospital is now utilizing the Mindray Resona 7, a next-generation ultrasound system designed to improve diagnostic accuracy and elevate patient care. This advanced technology produces exceptionally clear, detailed images across a wide range of exams, including cardiac, vascular, OB/GYN, musculoskeletal, pediatric, and general imaging. The enhanced image quality supports earlier detection and more precise diagnoses, giving providers greater clinical confidence.
The Resona 7 is powered by advanced imaging technology that creates sharper, more uniform images, helping clinicians better identify abnormalities. It also includes innovative tools such as V Flow, which allows for detailed evaluation of blood flow. This capability is especially valuable in assessing vascular conditions and supporting stroke-related diagnostics.
Designed with both patients and providers in mind, the system features an intuitive touchscreen interface and workflow-enhancing tools that help reduce scan times and minimize the need for repeat imaging. This means greater comfort and convenience for patients, as well as improved efficiency within the department — an important advantage for a rural hospital serving a growing demand for imaging services.
With the addition of this ultrasound unit, patients can expect faster scheduling, reduced wait times, and improved access to important diagnostic exams — all while continuing to receive high-quality care close to home.
“As the demand for imaging services continues to grow, we remain committed to investing in technology that enhances efficiency, accuracy, and the overall patient experience,” said Randall Dauby, CEO. “By bringing advanced imaging capabilities like the Resona 7 to PCH, we are ensuring our community has access to leading-edge diagnostics without the need to travel.”
The expanded ultrasound capabilities reinforce PCH’s ongoing commitment to delivering advanced, patient-centered care locally, helping individuals receive the services they need without leaving their community.
