Pinckneyville Community Hospital Invests in Future Workforce Through “Grow Our Own” Program
Pinckneyville Community Hospital is proud to announce continued investment in its employees through their “Grow our Own” program, an initiative designed to support staff members in furthering their education and advancing their careers.
As part of this program, the hospital pays for the full tuition/fee/book cost, upwards to $15,000, for team members who are committed to advancing their careers in healthcare and applying their knowledge right here at home.
One of the participants in this program is Miranda Shain, a member of the hospital’s Information Technology team. Miranda is currently working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Through her studies, she is developing advanced skills in areas such as network security, systems analysis, and protection of sensitive data.
Miranda’s goal is to expand her knowledge and apply it directly within the hospital setting—enhancing system security, improving efficiency, and helping safeguard patient information in an increasingly complex digital world. Her commitment to learning reflects the hospital’s mission of continuous improvement and innovation.
“I look forward to growing my skills and contributing even more to our hospital and community,” said Shain. “This opportunity allows me to build on my experience and take on new challenges that will benefit both patients and staff.”
The hospital’s leadership emphasizes that investing in employees like Miranda is an investment in the entire community.
“Our ‘Grow Our Own’ program is about empowering our team members to reach their full potential,” said Randall Dauby, CEO. “By supporting their education, we are strengthening our workforce and ensuring high-quality care for years to come.”
Pinckneyville Community Hospital remains committed to building a strong, sustainable workforce by encouraging professional development from within. Programs like this not only help employees achieve their career goals, but also ensure that the hospital continues to provide exceptional care close to home.
